Under-17 Team travels for away series against the Steel following international break

NTDP Notebook Week of Feb. 13-19

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 61-20-2-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the U18s and the U17s took on international opponents overseas last week. The U18s squared off against Finland twice (including one pre-tournament game, Czechia and Sweden at the U18 Four Nations Tournament in Finland. The team finished 3-1-0 in four games played and outscored their opponents 19-9. The Under-17 Team traveled to Switzerland to take part in the U17 Five Nations Tournament and took home the championship with a perfect 4-0-0 record. The team outscored their opposition 21-9 in their final international tournament on the season.

The U18s have the weekend off, while the U17s return to USHL play for the first time in more than two weeks, The team travels to Illinois and will play a pair against the Chicago Steel. The U17s open the weekend series Saturday (Feb. 18) with puck drop set for 8:00 p.m. ET. On Sunday (Feb. 19), the team wraps up play against the Steel with puck drop set for 4:00 p.m. ET.

Overall Record: U18: 34-7-1-2 | U17: 27-13-1-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL)

Team USA USHL Record: 22-11-1-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) with 47 PTS in 36 GP, 3rd place in the Eastern Conference
