USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 51-42-6-6 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the U18s and swept their weekend games and the U17s split theirs. On Friday night, the U18s traveled to Muskegon and topped the Lumberjacks (W, 5-3, April 5), while the U17s were in Madison and dropped to the Capitols (L, 5-2, April 5). On Saturday night, the U18s hosted the 'Jacks at USA Hockey Arena (W, 4-2, April 6), and the U17s defeated Madison at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena (W, 3-1, April 6).
The U18s are off this weekend as they continue to prepare for the IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship, while the U17s close the domestic schedule with a home-and-home against the Youngstown Phantoms. They head to Youngstown on Friday night (April 12) for 7:05 p.m. ET puck drop from the Covelli Centre, then host the Phantoms on Saturday (April 13) from USA Hockey Arena at 7:00 p.m. ET.
