USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 6-6-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the Under-18 Team split their weekend games the Under-17 Team went 1-2-0-0 on the week. On Wednesday night, the U17s dropped their opening contest in the NAHL Showcase to the Minnesota Minotaurs (L, 6-1, Sept. 25), topped the Shreveport Mudbugs Friday evening (W, 3-2, Sept. 27) inside the Super Rink and fell to the Minnesota Wilderness to close the event Sunday (L, 4-1, Sept. 28). The U18s headed to Fargo for a doubleheader against the Force at Scheels Arena. They dropped Friday's contest (L, 4-1, Sept. 27) before skating to a win Saturday (W, 5-2, Sept. 28).
The U18s are back on the road this weekend as they open the 2024-25 Kroger College Series in Indiana with a joust against Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday (Oct. 4) from Compton Family Ice Arena. The following night (Saturday, Oct. 5), the U18s take on Western Michigan at 6:00 p.m. ET at Lawson Ice Arena. The U17s head back to Minnesota for a pair of games against the Minnesota Elite League All-Stars from New Hope Ice Arena. Puck drops are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET on Saturday (Oct. 5) and 10:00 a.m. ET on Sunday (Oct. 6).
